Nicki Minaj went through one of her toughest moments on "American Idol" Wednesday. Forced to eliminate some of this season's best contestants, Minaj also exercised her right to warn and save a contestant from elimination.
After witnessing Oz, a group consisting of Papa Peachez, Adam Sanders, Frankie Ford and Charles Allen, Minaj was disturbed to see Frankie Ford "fall apart."
"You know that you're someone that tugs on all our heart strings and we all really identify with your story. I have to say Frankie, you fell apart today," said Minaj. "You lost me. It's crazy because I love you so much."
Not happy with Papa Peachez either, especially after he said the group was a "hot mess" because of "big personalities," Minaj told him that he will have to deal with a lot more personalities if he survives elimination.
"As you guys are going to go on, there's going to be even bigger personalities. If you win this competition, the personalities will be out of this world," said Minaj.
After a lengthy deliberation with the other judges, Nicki Minaj faced the group.
"This deliberation was very serious to us. Frankie, can you step up? Papa Peachez, can you step up? This is absolutely not unanimous," Minaj shares in video below. "(Frankie) Keith fought for you like crazy because your spirit is out of this world. Your spirit fills up this room."
Turning to Papa Peachez, Minaj issued a warning.
"Papa Peachez, if it weren't for one person changing their vote, you would be going home. You are too complacent now in the competition. There won't be another chance for me to fight for you again," said Minaj. "You have to step up."
Allowing Papa Peachez to step back, Nicki Minaj then delivered somewhat expected news to Frankie Ford.
"Frankie my darling. It's the end of the road. God bless you. We love you so much," said Minaj.
Do you agree with the judges? Should they have eliminated Papa Peachez?
"American Idol" continues Thursday night at 8 p.m. on FOX.
