Nicki Minaj goes from Super Bowl XLVI to TNT's NBA All-Star Game

Nicki Minaj has just landed herself another big-time television gig to show off some music -- and this time she'll have an opportunity to do so without the worry about somebody else on stage potentially flipping off the camera as we saw during Super Bowl XLVI earlier this month.

TNT and the NBC has announced that Minaj will join Pitbull and Ne-Yo for the halftime show at the NBA All-Star Game on February 26 in Orlando. Mary J. Blige is also going to be performing the National Anthem during the telecast.

While Minaj's performance will surely be something people will talk about, there is one other interesting element to the game's mere scheduling -- it's directly up against the Academy Awards. Granted the shows have different audiences -- but why overlap this at all?

Do you think Minaj is a good choice for the show?
