Booyakasha!! Playmates has issued new figures from the hit Nickelodeon cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This series will be 9 and 10 in their new line. The figures that they are featuring this time around are Splinter in his Dojo outfit, a Robotic Krang/Foot Clan Ninja, Slash, and the new Newtralizer. Each character comes with weapons and accessories that are unique to them. Various internet news outlets, the TMNT website being one, have teased that there is supposed to be a new TigerClaw action figure coming available that would foreshadow his return to the TV series, but I have not the release notice for that figure yet. I guess that we will have to wait just a little bit longer for that particular figure to come out. For those of you that were fans of the original animated series, I can be counted among that number, and have not checked out this new one are missing out on a great show. There are many similarities to the old series, but with a lot more funny thrown in. As of the news release for these figures in April, there was not release date listed for them. So look for them to be dropping soon, if they haven't already. Also, there are new figures being released next month in anticipation of the new TMNT live action movie that comes out in August. I haven't seen too many pictures of these figures so far, but the ones that I have seen look like they will be different from anything that you may have seen before. All in all, this looks to be a very exciting time for the TMNT fan in all of us. And remember, as always, they are not dolls.........they are ACTION FIGURES!!
