On the heels of the release of their critically acclaimed album, A Dotted Line, progressive bluegrass darlings Nickel Creek will grace the stage of the Majestic Theater in Dallas on Fri. Aug. 22.

After a much too long 7-year hiatus, Chris Thile and siblings Sara and Sean Watkins have reunited to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the band’s inception. Originally planning to just release a short EP, A Dotted Line quickly took on a life of it’s own as a full-length album, which in turn evolved into a nation-wide tour.

It’s apparent that Dallasites are eager for their arrival- last Wednesday’s pre-sale sold out in less than 5 minutes. If you missed out on the pre-sale, not to worry- tickets are still available though the band’s website. The all ages show starts at 8pm, with tickets ranging from $45-$55. With Sarah Jarosz opening, it promises to be a night to remember.
