Nick Saban is set to leave Alabama for Texas

According to Fansided.com via The Football Brainiacs, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is set to take the job at Texas. Not only is Saban ready for the move, it’s being reported as a done deal as of Wednesday.

The Football Brainiacs UPDATE: "for those asking for exact dates on when this is going to happen. We don’t know. We are telling you what we know which is that we have two very good sources that have told us that Nick Saban is going to Texas and one of the sources said that the money is going to be substantial. We would not have run this unless we trusted the sources."

Nick Saban has never been known for sticking around a program too long, so while the news will be shocking to Alabama fans, they had to know this is the way Nick Saban operates.

Fansided.com notes the interesting timing of the revelation. However, the loss to Auburn could be least of the reasons that Nick Saban moves on from Alabama. There’s no doubt that this story wouldn’t have come out if Alabama was playing in the SEC Championship game.

Still, Saban shouldn’t say anything until he knows where Alabama is playing in the Bowl season. Whether you believe it or not, Alabama has a chance to play in the BCS title game. It all hinges on if the BCS system would be bold enough to move a one loss Missouri team ahead of the Crimson Tide.

If the move does go through, how many recruits would leave Alabama, and try to follow Nick Saban to Texas?
