Will Nick Saban stay with Alabama as their head coach or will he move on to Texas? AJC.com states in a Dec. 5 report that no one knows the answer to that question. Questions were sparked when his agent, Jimmy Sexton, mentioned the possibility of that earlier this year. Taking on a coaching position with Texas is the only thing he would leave Alabama for.
At this time, Mack Brown remains Texas' head coach. The rumor is Brown will coach his final game this weekend against Baylor.
"There is a chance that this rumor never comes to fruition," Fansided reported.
Another factor fueling rumors that Saban will leave Alabama is the loss to Auburn. This greatly diminished Alabama's hopes of winning a title in the BCS.
There's also the belief that Saban will lose offensive coordinator, Doug Nussmeier. He could fill the Washington position that was created after USC hired Sarkisian.
In a Dec. 6 report by ESPN, University of Texas president Bill Powers denied reports that they're considering hiring Saban for a coaching position with the Texas Longhorns.
"I've never met Nick Saban. I've never talked to Nick Saban. We have not hired Nick Saban," Powers said. "Mack's our coach, and I can say flatly that the rumors we have hired or come to an agreement with Nick Saban or even talked to him are false."
Do you still think Nick Saban still has a future with Alabama?
