I want to hold your hand, Love me do, Can’t buy me love, and a Hard days night are some of my favorite songs from The Beatles. Growing up, my parents listened to their music all of the time, and I soon began to become a huge fan. They obviously had some great music, and a large fan base. They also were huge on marketing their brand, and produced hundreds of items that people still go crazy over!
Early on in my eBay career, I had the opportunity to sell a few Beatles items. Not really knowing how much they were worth, I did an auction for my Beatles bobble head dolls. They were 4 inches in hight, and their heads didn’t really bobble anymore, but I thought that someone might want them. I was right! The bids started to fly in, and it seemed as if I had something really special. I really was expecting to get around twenty dollars for these dolls, but it ended up selling for over $100!
I have found Beatles memorabilia at Goodwill several times before, but it may not be what you are thinking. I haven’t found the bobble head dolls again, or a signed poster, but Goodwill had a lot of Beatles items that you can sell. You just have to get creative. For example, you can find items that look like they are from the Beatles era. They can be sunglasses, suits, wigs, ties, shoes, and much more. People still want to look like The Beatles! I found a pair of old (dirty) round sunglasses that looked like the ones that John Lennon use to wear, and I bought them for a buck. When I put them on eBay with the title of “Vintage Sunglasses Like John Lennon use to Wear”, I sold them for $20.
The Beatles still have fans all around the world, and matter of fact, iTunes have made them just as popular today than they were years ago! You don’t need to find actual memorabilia from the Beatles, but if you can find items that look like something they may have worn in the past, then it will sell. I guess I have to put this disclaimer on here: Don’t actually say that The Beatles wore the item, just say that it looks like what they have worn.
