It is a truth nearly universally acknowledged that Jewish men make the best husbands. Why? That's something I pondered in a blog post that continues to draw the most visit over three years after it was posted. It's not merely an affirmation for Jewish women to marry Jewish men. It is a more complex consideration than individual traits associated with the religion. Some view it as a step up on the socio-economic ladder with designated rungs for particular ethnic groups.
But this is really a post on the lighter side. I was looking for an illustration of the concept of Jewish calendars for another post --http://www.examiner.com/article/jewish-time --when I came across ads for the Nice Jewish Guys 2013 Calendar (now at a discounted price). Here's part of the description:

Women not only buy this calendar but even post their pictures next to their purchases on the Facebook page, NICE-JEWISH-GUYS/ In fact, that page identifies 5 of my own FB friends who like it. (You do know that you should regard everything on FB as absolutely public, right?) As far as I know they're all married, but maybe they have a daughter, niece, sister-in-law, cousin. Some of the women who post there declare they received the calendar as a (gag) gift.
