According to an Aug. 16 tweet from Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc, the standout Invicta FC atomweight contender recently completed an exclusive interview with Alchemist Radio, where she detailed her plans to fight in the event of an apocalyptic zombie invasion.
"@mitchciccarelli: Check out my exclusive interview w/ @Nicdali http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxx2d-rSd2s … @AlchemistRadio @MieshaTate @shanknapp @InvictaFights," Rivera-Calanoc tweeted.
During her interview with Alchemist Radio, "The Night Queen" said the best way to beat the invasion would be to stay on the road, since a high volume of zombies can overwhelm those who stay in the same spot.
"Mhm for sure," Rivera-Calanoc answered, when asked if she was prepared for the attack. "I don't think I'd have a battle shed. I think we'd have a plan, you know, I think with zombies you can't stay in one spot because then they'll all congregate. You don't want to get too many of them at once. That's how they beat you. They overwhelm you by numbers so you kind of have to keep on the road. You have to have a battle truck and have tons of guns and ammo."
"The Night Queen" admits her aim is a bit off, so she would likely kill the zombies with some kind of sword or slicing device.
"I'm not very good at shooting guns," Rivera-Calanoc said. "I'm really good with a machete though."
Luckily, she won't have to worry about zombies in the immediate future. Rivera-Calanoc has other tough potential opponents on her plate, namely Steph Frausto and Jessica Penne.
Rivera-Calanoc is hoping for a chance to compete against one of the aforementioned ladies at the upcoming Invicta FC show slated for October.
Fight fans who wish to see "The Night Queen" compete at Invicta FC 7 should tweet @invictafights and @shanknapp, asking them to put her on the card.
