On Wednesday, November 7, 2011 at 4:35 an earthquake was recorded in Nicaragua. The location was 23 miles SSE of Granada. The exact location is 11.629°N, 85.802°W.
Seismologists at the U.S. Geological Survey are reporting the quake was measured at a magnitude of 5.9.
As far away in Northern Costa Rica, the author felt the floor shake for what seemed to be approaching a minute.. However, no damage occurred in this area.
