Ni No Kuni rare shwag giveaway

Among many of the annual gaming media events held in San Francisco, Namco Bandai Games started off strong in 2013 with their own showcase for press. Not only was it an opportunity to announce new titles like Tales of Xillia and the Namco-Sega-Capcom crossover game, Project X Zone, it was also a time to celebrate the release of the hotly anticipated JRPG Ni No Kuni.

The contents of the event's giveaway shwag bag included a few rare Ni No Kuni items: the "cursed" version of the Drippy plushie, the Japanese version of the game's spellbook and Oliver's cape. If you're familiar with the Wizard's Edition of Ni No Kuni, then you know it contains the uncursed version of Drippy. The cape is a version of the same cape that was given away at Comic-Con except this one includes the yellow and green tie attachment that was not included in the Comic-Con version.

The now-rare Wizard's Edition of Ni No Kuni might have been limited to a few thousand units, but we can confirm that this cursed version of the Drippy plushie is even more rare at a few hundred units. The best part is that I'm giving away one of these shwag sets!

To enter, simply reply to my Twitter account (@NormalMode) with a creative tweet related to Ni No Kuni (You don't have to follow me on Twitter!). It could be an observation about the game, a sob story about how you didn't get the Wizard's Edition, your favorite familiar from the game, a haiku, or even something regarding Studio Ghibli.

This Friday, I will publish the top 25 standout tweets and I will pick one as the winner of this shwag set. Any Twitter accounts created specifically for this contest will be ineligible (sorry!).

While you're here, you can also check out my video review of Ni No Kuni, which I wrote and video produced for Rev3Games at Revision3: LINK The video's host, Max Scoville is actually wearing one of the capes.
