Reggae rocked the night away April 18th with NI, Black Salt Tone, and SM Familia at the Soda Bar in San Diego. Presented by Slic Entertainment.
Headliner NI was back performing in San Diego for the first time in two years to a lively hometown crowd. Its been a big year so far for NI opening for Rebelution on their holiday tour, as well as a sold out show with Iration... in the midst of working on their next studio album at the legendary Big Fish Studio. The band brought plenty of new tunes back home with them, along with plenty of NI classics. Check out some video of their performance here:
Direct support for NI was Black Salt Tone: an impressive four piece with plenty of stage presence. BST looks to have quite a career ahead of them including an upcoming tour with Dewey And The People that includes a set at this years Cali Roots Festival in Monterrey at the end of May. Opening up the night was SM Familia. While most of the songs were sung in Spanish, great reggae can get a crowd dancing in any language. This band is one to watch as they play shows around town. Peep some video of their show here:
