Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), Robert Hight (Funny Car), Erica Enders-Stevens (Pro Stock) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle) remain on top of the NHRA points standings following this weekend’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois.
Kalitta (1,065) leads Chicago winner Antron Brown (963) and Shawn Langdon (835), followed by Spencer Massey (747) in fourth and Tony Schumacher (711) in fifth.
Hight (1,032) leads Tommy Johnson Jr. (786) and John Force (769) in Funny Car. Ron Capps (748) sits fourth and Alexis Dejoria (747) is fifth in points.
Enders-Steven (1,036) continues to lead the Pro Stock standings, ahead of Jeg Coughlin Jr. (846) and his teammate Allen Johnson (845). Jason Line (830) is fourth, followed by Chicago winner Vincent Nobile (785) in fifth.
Hines (536) leads his Screamin’ Eagle Harley teammate Eddie Krawiec (515) by 21 points and third-place Hector Arana Jr. (474) by 62 points. John Hall (371) and Matt Smith (361) round out the PSM top five.
The 2014 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule continues Thursday through Sunday, July 3rd through 6th with the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Keep up with the action at www.nhra.com.
