Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), John Force (Funny Car), Jason Line (Pro Stock) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle) top the final NHRA regular season points standings following the completion of the Brainerd finals and the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis.
Kalitta (1,479) leads second-place Antron Brown (1,385) by 94 points. Shawn Langdon (1,261) sits third in points, followed by Tony Schumacher (1,160) and Steve Torrence (1,075).
Force (1,420) leads teammate Robert Hight (1,340) in Funny Car, followed by Ron Capps (1.188), Alexis Dejoria (1,148) and Tommy Johnson Jr. (1,107).
Line (1,408) leads Erica Enders-Steven (1,324) and Allen Johnson (1,318) in Pro Stock standings. Jeg Coughlin Jr. (1,254) and Dave Connolly (1,231) round out the top five.
Hines (906) leads his Screamin’ Eagle Harley teammate Eddie Krawiec (889) and Hector Arana Jr. (692). Hector Arana (574) is fourth in points, followed by John Hall (569) in fifth.
All points for the top 10 drivers in each category will be reset going into the Countdown to the Championship, which begins Friday through Sunday, September 12th through 14th at zMAX Dragway with the NHRA Carolina Nationals. Keep up with the action at www.nhra.com.
