Courtney Force (Funny Car), Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel) and Vincent Nobile (Pro Stock) took home Wallys and the points leads in their respective categories from the NHRA Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, California this weekend.
Force sits 30 points ahead of Ron Capps (124 to 94), followed by Johnny Gray (76), Bob Tasca III (71) and Gary Densham (60) in the Funny Car standings.
Langdon (116) is 10 points ahead of the runner-up at Pomona, Tony Schumacher (106), and 42 points ahead of his Al-Anabi Racing teammate Khalid alBalooshi (74). Antron Brown (67) and Brandon Bernstein (60) round out the top five in Top Fuel.
Nobile is 23 points ahead of Jeg Coughlin Jr. (118 to 95), while V. Gaines (81) sits 37 points back of Nobile. Greg Stanfield (72) and Allen Johnson complete the Pro Stock top five.
The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series gets back on track next weekend, February 22nd through 24th, with the NHRA Arizona Nationals at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Arizona. Follow the action at www.nhra.com.
