NHRA points after the 2014 Southern Nationals

Doug Kalitta returned to the top of the Top Fuel points standings following Monday eliminations for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway. Robert Hight (Funny Car), Erica Enders-Stevens (Pro Stock) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle) maintained their points leads following the event in Atlanta.

Kalitta (649) leads Antron Brown (642) by just seven points. Steve Torrence (503) sits third, with Shawn Langdon (461) fourth and Atlanta winner Spencer Massey (454) fifth.

Hight (730), who picked up his third-straight win and fourth of the season, leads team owner John Force (524) by 206 points and third-place Alexis DeJoria (472) by 258 points. Ron Capps (430) and Del Worsham (400) round out the top five.

Enders-Steven (624) leads Jason Line (514) and Allen Johnson (509) in the Pro Stock standings. Shane Gray (468) sits fourth and Jeg Coughlin Jr. (457) moves up to fifth.

Andrew Hines (286) leads Eddie Krawiec (276) by 10 points and third-place John Hall (230) by 56 points. Scotty Pollacheck (220) and Hector Arana Jr. (182) round out the PSM top five.

The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series returns to the track Friday through Sunday, May 23rd through 25th, at Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas, home of the NHRA Kansas Nationals. Keep up with the action at
