The NHL is actually approaching the halfway point of the season, but they are also approaching a Christmas break where there will be no NHL action for a couple days. So get in you hockey while you can. Saturday is busy, as there are 12 games, although there are only two on Sunday. Of course, Monday has 14 games. Anywho, here's the big games from the weekend.
There are three games Saturday afternoon, with Ottawa against Phoenix and Los Angeles hosting Colorado are both worth watching. And then... man is it an ugly Saturday. There are not a lot of games that enthuse me. Maybe the league is saving things for Monday? Detroit is playing Toronto, and in a couple weeks they will meet again out of doors. I mean... Montreal against Nashville is alright, I guess? Dallas against San Jose is good, I suppose, but honestly that's about it. Not a great day of NHL action. Good thing college bowl season begins that day.
Sunday has one good game, and that is Minnesota against the Rangers. I am less interested in Winnipeg visiting Vancouver.
So, you know, if you love the NHL, you will watch some hockey. Maybe you will watch your team play, even if you team is Buffalo and they are playing Boston. If you take the time to watch hockey this weekend, enjoy the games. And, you know, Merry Christmas and all that.
