The NHL schedule 2013 live stream and TV games will continue via the NBC channel and associated networks on Wednesday, Oct. 30. In the latest game, two of the recent Stanley Cup champions will take each other on, as the Boston Bruins visit the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins currently lead their division, while the Bruins are among the middle of the pack in theirs. Which team will grab an important early season win on Wednesday night?
An Oct. 30 ESPN.com report indicates that the Penguins have owned their regular-season games against the Bruins since 2012, winning every meeting. However, the Boston Bruins emerged victorious in the Eastern Conference Finals with a sweep over the same Penguins. Tonight, the two teams will renew their rivalry on the ice in Pittsburgh, with goalie Tuuka Rask looking to limit the Pens again. However, the Penguins will look to lead scorer, Sidney Crosby, to give them a boost and help win the game.
Crosby said of his team which also suffered a 3-game losing streak this season just before defeating the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday:
"We had some lapses for periods (during the skid) and that hurt us and ended up costing us the game. When you do good things, you don't want to spoil it with some errors that were mental errors, and we bounced back here tonight and got a big win."
Crosby currently leads the NHL in points, and has notched 20 of them so far. He’s got 8 points (sixth in NHL) and 12 assists (second in NHL). However, goalie Rask of the Bruins ranks right up among the top three in goalies so far this season. He’s got a .947% save percentage and is allowing just 1.56 goals a game, making him among the stingiest goalies in the league.
Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said of the star goalie that, “He was the difference in the series, there is no question.” Will Raask be the difference tonight, or will someone else emerge as the star of this game? Boston may also look to their stars David Krejci and Milan Lucic for scoring and assists, but if it comes down to a shootout, watch out with a scorer like Crosby on the ice and a goalie like Raask between the pipes!
Odds makers have made Pittsburgh favorites at -130 while the underdog Bruins are priced at +110 at many books. The over/under on total goals for the game is set at 5 1/2 with Pittsburgh and Boston ranking tenth and eleventh in terms of goals per game, each getting at least 3 a game. Tonight’s game takes place at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh at 8 p.m. EST.
