The visual improvement from last generation to this generation is undeniable.
The next generation versions of EA Sports' upcoming “NHL 15” video game will feature a host of visual improvements, including the noticeable element of equipment moving under each players’ jersey with every stride and move up and down the ice, Electronic Arts said on their official website.
EA Sports’ “Dynamic Cloth” technology will reportedly add an extra level of realism to each players’ movements, but it’s hard to argue the new level of detail to the game’s player models (viewable in the photo section of this article). The same technology used in the recently released UFC game, EA Sports has improved the visual element of the NHL series tremendously and said the detail extends to every element of the player, including their stick, skates and other equipment.
“Layered Player Models add a new level of detail that wasn’t possible before,” EA Sports said on their official site earlier this month. “In addition to the body, each player now wears individual pieces of equipment that live below the jersey. The result is skaters who now look and move like living, breathing athletes.”
“NHL 15” is currently scheduled to skate its way on to the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, Xbox One and PlayStation4 video game consoles on September 9.
