The NH Eurobuilding Hotel in Madrid is undergoing some changes. It has been until now a traveller’s hotel, aimed at business men and women traveling to Madrid to conduct their individual tasks. However that may be, the hotel is going to be completely refurbished and redesigned this summer. It will be closed from July 1 to September 1, while it has a facelift.
Meeting rooms which will accommodate up to 1200 persons will be carved out of the hotel’s frame. The lobby will be redesigned. There will be three new restaurants, a Japanese restaurant, an international restaurant and Madrid’s only three star Michelin restaurant will move into the hotel.
There is a spa in the hotel at present but it will be enhanced. The hotel also has tennis courts and a beach club, with real sand, on one of the roofs of the building. All in all, the hotel will have more than a refurbishment. It will be a rebirth. It has always been a meeting place in the center of the city close to the national football field, but it will become the flagship of the NH brand.
The refurbishment will represent a 25 million euro investment in this hotel. There will be free wifi throughout the building, this is a continuation of the present policy. But the NH Eurobuilding will become a showplace for the NH brand.
I stayed in one of the superior rooms and I can share that it was a pleasure: new comfortable beds, a desk with enough pens to complete written work and free wifi make this hotel a pleasure and suitable for working on various professional tasks.
I wish the hotel well. It was a good hotel to begin things. Now it will become a great hotel.
