With Super Bowl XLVIII and all its festivities coming to America’s fashion capital, National Football League (NFL) Women’s Apparel is redefining fashion by bridging trendsetting everyday looks with the game of football. To inspire women to show their passion for their favorite teams and for the game in a stylish way, the NFL unveiled its newest fashion-forward apparel and accessories available for fans during a one-of-a-kind presentation last night at New York’s Grand Central Terminal.
Presented by NFL Women’s Apparel and 2013 Creative Fashion Director Phillip Bloch, this one-of-a-kind presentation redefined combined everything from game day-chic to touchdown glam. All 32 NFL teams were represented, plus a special Super Bowl XLVIII look.
NFL and Vogue brought out all the female celebrities who enjoy both the game of football and the thrill of fashion. The celebrities in attendance were: Aliya-Jasmine Sovani, Anna Cleveland, Carol Alt, Deborah Cox, DJ Kiss, Emme, Frederique Van Dar Waal, Lauren Helm, Pat Cleveland, Roger Goodell (NFL Commissioner), Stacy Kiebler (ambassador for Meesh & Mia), Susan Lucci, Suzanne Johnson (NY Jets), Tanya Snyder with daughters Brittanie and Tiffanie (Washington Redskins) and Vivica Fox.
Anthony Bowles of Examiner.com had the chance to catch up with R&B singer, Deborah Cox who shared her love for fashion, "I love that the NFL is celebrating women and creating this apparel, since 45% of sport viewers are women, so it only makes sense that women combine their two passions!"
