Bengals' Chad Ochocinco is quitting Twitter?
Publicity stunt or the real deal?
Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco said today that he intends to close his Twitter account.
At 3:11pm today, Ochocinco tweeted out his goodbye message:
Due to the many rules the NFL has made I've found it difficult to enjoy Twitter and I'll be deleting my account :(
"I thank and love you all for following, hope you enjoyed getting to know the real me: Esteban out"
As of 8:23pm. his account is still active. Not sure what the delay is or if this just might be another play at grabbing a bit of attention. Ochocinco has been quite outspoken on Twitter over the last few months.
He's tweeted about Tom Brady's injury:
"Just got a call back from Tom Brady, says he's fine and there's nothing to worry about."
and his reaction to the NFL banning Twitter:
The NFL had there WAMW face on when I said I was gonna tweet, they made a rule saying I can't, it's all good, Mariachi Band in full effect!!
Anyone can delete their Twitter account faster than you can say, "Hail Mary". So, the question is, why make the statement that you're closing a Twitter account for the world to see and not do it?
Sounds like Chad Ochocinco knows how to play more than just football!

i don't know if i would believe the word of someone who legally changes their last name to their jersey number anyway. not that i care. really. i say it's for attention. just like the name.
