Capping off the NFL schedule 2013 live stream and TV games for week 3 will be an AFC battle with Denver hosting Oakland at Sports Authority Field. Heading into this contest, the Broncos are among the league's early undefeated teams, while the Raiders are attempting to build a winning record. The Monday Night Football televised and live streaming NFL game will be presented by ESPN's sports networks.
On Sept. 23, the Denver Post noted that three of the Broncos' top four players have yet to play this season, yet the team is still undefeated at 2-0. Those three players are defensive stars Von Miller (suspended), Champ Bailey (injured) and Ryan Clady (out for season). Once Miller and Bailey make their returns, the Broncos could become an even tougher team to defeat. They are without them, and that's thanks to superstar quarterback Peyton Manning.
Peyton Manning has been on a tear early in this 2013-14 NFL season, leading his team to two impressive victories, with the opening win at Baltimore, and then their next game won against his brother Eli and the New York Giants. Manning comes into this contest with 9 touchdowns thrown, on 57-for-85 completed passes and a total of 769 yards in just two games. Seven of those touchdowns and 462 yards came in the Broncos' opening win, 49-27 against the Baltimore Ravens. Manning currently ranks at 16th overall in terms of quarterbacks, however, many teams have played three games already, and Peyton will likely shoot up the leaders list with a 200 to 300 yard passing game.
On the other side, Terrelle Pryor has 343 yards, 1 touchdown and has completed 34-of-53 passes he's thrown. However, the Raiders do have a legitimate rush attack in the form of Darren McFadden who has racked up 177 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries. The Raiders rank at second overall in rushing yards, and their defense has looked good early as well, ranking third in opponent passing yards and seventh in opponents rushing yards. However, it's important to note that one of their two games was a win against Jacksonville last week, with the other a 21-17 opening loss to the Colts.
With regards to Manning and the Denver Broncos tonight, Raiders coach Dennis Allen told reporters:
"They have weapons all over the field. And the thing about Peyton is he does a great job of understanding what the defense does, taking what the defense gives him so all those guys get an opportunity to make plays. ... You go into the game plan and it's hard to say you're going to take somebody away."
In 2012, Manning helped guide the Broncos to a 13-3 overall record, one of the best in the league. Two of those wins came against the Raiders, 37-6 at home, and 26-13 away. Those divisional games provide extra motivation, as the winners benefit in the case of any tie records or wildcard implications for the postseason. Manning will look to snag another win tonight, making it three straight against the Raiders, who would love nothing more than to spoil the party for Denver.
According to odds makers, Denver is a heavy 15-point favorite in tonight's AFC matchup. The game total is set at approximately 49 points for the two teams to combine for in over/under bets, according to Vegas Insider.
