The NFL football 2013 live stream and TV schedule brings a highly-anticipated matchup to Sunday Night Football as the league's top quarterback pays a visit to his previous team. It will be the Broncos vs. the Colts with Denver's undefeated record on the line, and Indianapolis' looking to be the first team to deliver a loss to them. Tonight's game will be presented on television and live stream thanks to the NBC sports network and website.
According to an ESPN.com report on Oct. 20, tonight's game will make for the first appearance of quarterback Peyton Manning against his former team since he was let go by them several years ago. Manning has been thriving as the leader of the Denver Broncos ever since, but his replacement in Indianapolis, Andrew Luck, has been stellar for his team since being drafted a year ago. Last year, Luck and the Colts made the playoffs, and already this season have defeated two of the NFC's best teams in San Francisco and Seattle.
In terms of returning to Indianapolis to play against the team he led to a Super Bowl championship seasons ago, Manning has no grudges towards his former team or their owner. He told the media:
"I've learned that in life you need to be at peace with other people's decisions that affect you that you have no control over. That's good advice I've had over the years and it's certainly served me well in this particular scenario."
In comparing the two teams and their two star quarterbacks, the Broncos are undefeated at 6-0 while the Colts are 4-2 so far this season. Denver has yet to lose on the road, while Indianapolis has a 2-1 mark at home. For the quarterbacks, Manning is on fire so far this season with an MVP-like set of numbers including 22 touchdowns and 2,179 yards thrown with just two interceptions, and a 74.2% completion percent. Luck has a 61.8 completion percent, along with 1,346 yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 INT's. The Colts rank highly in terms of pass defense, so it will be interesting to see if they can shutdown Peyton tonight or he'll pick them apart.
The Colts have been getting it done on the ground with their two running backs Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw. The Colts rank eighth in the league in rushing yards with 130.7 per game, but Denver ranks first in terms of their rushing defense holding opponents to just 69.8 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, Knowshon Moreno has been decent on the rushing attack for Denver with seven touchdowns and 373 yards on 80 carries so far this season, and may be relied upon against a Colts' rush defense which is 31st in the league.
Odds makers have Denver as the favorite by about a touchdown tonight, while the over/under points bet for the game is set at 56 1/2 at many sports books. Weather reports indicate partly cloudy skies and a kickoff temperature reaching 55 degrees for tonight's matchup. While Denver is the easy favorite here, could an upset be brewing as the Colts prove their worth and defeat another squad predicted to make the 2014 Super Bowl?
Tonight's Broncos vs. Colts NFL game has a start time set for 8:30 p.m. EST at Lucas Oil Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on NBC and affiliate stations across the nation.
