The Washington Redskins had a great season thanks to the stellar rookie season performance of Baylor product Robert Griffin III. However, the star youngster's injury in the final game of the Redskins playoff run has the NFL questioning his potential return date as of Feb. 4, 2013.
According to ESPN writer Tim Kavanagh, RG III is expected to be at training camp, but he is likely to be on the PUP list. However, the player himself is already claiming that he will be ready for the Week 1 of the 2013-14 season according to the Washington Times where he was quoted as saying he had, "No doubt in my mind," in regards to him being ready at the start of the next season.
The NFL's questioning of his potential return date is believed to be in the interest of the scheduling for next season. If RG III is fit and ready to go the league is likely to give the Redskins more prime time TV slots in the opening weeks.
However, if the player is likely to miss the first few weeks of the season then the team will possibly suffer some losses of TV revenue which could be a good reason for the Redskins to keep quiet on their start young quarterback's complete outlook at this point.
