The NFL rumors swirling around the Detroit Lions are starting to get pretty interesting if you are a Lions fan. After signing all three free agents (Glover Quin FS, Reggie Bush RB and Jason Jones DT on their "fill our needs list" already, could the Lions add one more piece of the puzzle that has been missing so long in Detroit?
Pride of Detroit reported today, March 18, the Lions may have interest in former NY Giant Osi Umenyiora. According to USA Today's Mike Garafolo the Lions and Dolphins are both interested.
Garafolo tweeted "Yep. Miami, Detroit, others. But $ for DEs isn't there across the board. RT @brooklynpod: anyone shown any real interest in Osi?"
Umenyiora has been a huge part of the Giants success over the past few seasons and still may have a lot of game left.
Over the past weekend, rumors of the Lions having interest in Elvis Dumervil were also reported. If Detroit could pick up either one of these guys, added to who they have already signed - along with the upcoming NFL draft, Lions fans will be ready to tackle the 2013 season!
