If Tom Brady wants to be part of the next" Karate Kid" movie he may have a future! The NFL is reviewing Brady's sliding kick to the thigh of Ed Reed in Sunday's AFC Championship Game.
According to a Jan. 22 report on Yahoo!, the NFL is reviewing Brady's first half scramble in the finl minute of play when he looked more like a runner trying to steal second base then a quarterback digging for extra yards.
One of Brady's legs was raised and hit Ed Reed pretty hard. Ravens safety Bernard Pollard said he thinks Brady should be fined.
He told reporters, "If you want to keep this going in the right direction, everyone should be penalized for their actions.
Whether the league takes action is yet to be seen, but Brady has reached out to Reed with an apology.
Reed seemed okay with the play, and said it is part of the game.
"Leg is feeling alright. A little sore right now," Reed told WJZ-FM on Monday. "A little slide kick (by Brady), you know what I'm saying. But it's a tough spot the quarterback's in. You know, I understand Brady's point. Him protecting himself. I know he's a great player. I respect Brady and his game for all it stands for, and I know he's not a dirty player. And emotions get going in the game.
"I told him -- you know, we talked. We talked actually not too long ago, we talked on the phone. He actually reached out to me, texted me. I tried to text him back, but the message exploded after 12 seconds, so I had to call him ... and he's just apologized and what not. But I told him, 'You know, it's good, man."
Do you think Tom Brady will be fined and or suspended any games for his actions, or is this being blown out of proportion?
Either way, the Ravens have bigger fish to fry as they prepare for Super Bowl XLVII.
