Football fans around the world were anxiously awaiting the release of the 2014 NFL schedule when the league released it on the evening of Wednesday, April 23, 2014. The Who Dat Nation has been waiting for their beloved New Orleans Saints to get back on the field, and now they know it will be Sept. 7, 2014, against the rival Atlanta Falcons to start things off.

The Saints have an interesting schedule ahead of them for the 2014 season, and it includes five primetime games. The first comes in week four when they travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys in a Sunday Night Football game.

They'll have another go on Sunday Night Football when they face off with the Green Bay Packers at home in week eight. It's going to be a short week for the Saints as they will then travel to Carolina to face off with the Panthers on Thursday Night Football in week nine.

Drew Brees and the Saints have two Monday Night Football games coming against the Baltimore Ravens at home (week 12) and traveling to Chicago to face off with the Bears a Soldier Field in week 15.

Aside from the normal match-ups with NFC South rivals, the Saints will get to play against the teams from both the NFC North and AFC North. That includes traveling to Pittsburgh to face off with the Steelers and former long time wide receiver for the Saints, Lance Moore.

It all begins on Sept. 7, 2014, and the Saints are hoping for another trip to the playoffs and even further into the Super Bowl.
