Sun Life Stadium in beautiful Miami, Fla., will be the site for this NFL preseason 2013 finale between two teams looking to improve after missing the postseason a year ago.
A live stream feed of this inter-conference affair is also available online by visiting CBS Sports Network's Live Stream page, which will commence right before kickoff.
According to NFL preseason 2013 oddsmakers, the Miami Dolphins will enjoy some home cooking, as they're listed as [-5½] favorites to defeat the New Orleans Saints [+5½] by just under two field goals.
ESPN's odds have the OVER/UNDER is set at a low combined total of 36 points and alternate (straight-up) money lines have the Saints at +205 and the Fins at -245.
With an upset win tonight, New Orleans would close out the NFL preseason 2013 unbeaten at 4-0 and feeling great about its chances in the NFC South after what could be considered a lost 2012-13 NFL season.
One player who wouldn't refer to last year as a total failure is Saints quarterback Drew Brees. No. 9 is coming off a historical year – a dream season, if you will – setting all kinds of NFL passing marks, on top of all the franchise records he already owned.
Nevertheless, the fact that his team failed to clinch a spot into the playoffs is something that has to keep him up at night. With Sean Payton back pacing the sidelines, the Saints are sure to reclaim their spot as contenders in the always-improving NFC South.
For Miami, the preseason could be a good indicator of what Fins fans can expect to see during the regular season. Coming in losers of three of their first four preseason games, Joe Philbin will need all hands on deck to contend in an AFC East division that could be as open as it has been in over a decade.
