The NFL preseason 2013 live stream and television slate of games brings Cincinnati versus Dallas to the games listed on Saturday night's schedule. This game will be one of several going on from the preseason listings, with the Bengals entering the game at 2-0, and the Cowboys at 1-2. However, the Cowboys will have home field advantage where they are 1-0 in the preseason. The Bengals vs. Cowboys game will be live streaming online and televised in various regions of the country on Saturday.
An Aug. 23 report via ESPN.com indicates that one Cowboys legend has plenty of faith in quarterback Tony Romo: Roger Staubach. Staubach, who led two former Dallas Cowboys squads to Super Bowl titles, recently praised Romo, and said, "If there's a bigger Romo fan in town, I don't know who it is." He also pointed to the fact that Tony Romo hasn't really had the help up front on offense in terms of a solid rushing attack. Romo added:
"It's a team effort, too. I can't take credit for those great teams that I had. It was because I had a running game, I had a good offensive line, I had a lot of good things working for me. But you've got to be good yourself. Tony is a franchise quarterback."
Staubach has gone as far as to suggest that this could be a "breakthrough season for Romo" and also added the team can easily go 10-5, 11-5 or 12-4, "with a little luck and keeping people healthy." The Cowboys open their season on Sunday, Sep. 8 against the New York Giants in a night game on NBC.
In today's game, the home team faces a Bengals squad who has yet to lose in the preseason. While the preseason is basically a tryout session for players trying for roster spots, some of the starters get in their playing time in as well, including quarterback Andy Dalton. Cincy had a 34-10 win in week 1 at Atlanta, and then defeated Tennessee last week 27-19. The Bengals showed off stellar defense in holding the Falcons to 268 total yards and one touchdown in their first win. In their second win, the offense impressed, putting a 17-3 lead on the scoreboard by halftime with 220 yards of total offense. Dalton connected on 9 of 14 passes for 115 yards. In the second week of action, two competing backups for the QB spot both showed their worth as well.
The ESPN site reported that Dalton said of the Bengals win last week, which came without their star, All-Pro receiver A.J. Green:
"I think we were a little bit hungry tonight. After last week, we wanted to put points on the board with the (starters) in there. So we go out of this game feeling a little bit better than last week."
