The sports schedule brings NFL preseason 2013 live stream football to Friday night, with just a few weeks until the 2013-14 regular season begins. Tonight's late game will feature a matchup of the Chicago Bears vs. Oakland Raiders. Fans have options for NFL live streaming coverage, televised coverage and audio presentation for the Bears vs. Raiders game.
An Aug. 23 report from the ESPN Chicago site notes that the Bears' starters will play at least the entire first half and possibly into the second. It makes for a bit of a "dress rehearsal" as the teams get prepared for the upcoming season. Reportedly, this season's brand new Bears' coach, Marc Trestman, is set to play his starters all of the first half against the Raiders, and possible a few series in the second half.
Despite some signs that Chicago starting quarterback Jay Cutler might already be too reliant on his favorite target, Brandon Marshall, Bears running back Matt Forte talked about the reason it appeared that way, saying:
“We didn’t play the entire game (in the first two games). So you just can’t say, ‘Hey, how many different passes and runs went to two different guys on the offense?’ Obviously if we would’ve played four quarters, the ball would’ve been spread around. In a game, of course they’re going to be looking at Brandon, and they’re going to be looking at me coming out of the backfield and in the backfield. So other people are going to get the ball, and when they get their chances they’ll excel.”
Cutler will be just one aspect of tonight's game that will be important to watch, as Chicago's new coach also begins to work in his offensive schemes more. It's expected this game will be a glimpse for Bears fans of what to expect this coming season in terms of how Trestman's offense will work.
For the Raiders, they'll come into this game off a loss to the Saints in New Orleans last Friday, 28-20. Oakland has a 1-1 preseason record so far and gets a home game tonight at the O.co Coliseum. One of the big stories for the Raiders tonight could be the debut of their rookie cornerback D.J. Hayden, who was the No. 12 draft pick for the NFL draft. Hayden had life-threatening heart surgery this past November after a hard hit in practice. Also, according to ESPN's preview report, Oakland will need to work on their offensive line in terms of protecting their QB more, as well as developing a stronger pass rush attack.
Tonight's Chicago Bears vs. Oakland Raiders game has a start time of 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Tonight's game will be televised on the NFL Network on various cable or satellite providers around the nation. In addition, there will be the ability to watch the Bears vs. Raiders live streaming online, for fans who have NFL Preseason Live subscription service. The service price continues to lower each week of preseason action, and will allow fans the ability to watch live NFL games online up until Sept. 15, during the regular season. Sirius XM Radio will carry audio coverage of the game for fans on the go who want to listen.
