In NFL preseason 2013 live stream and televised action today, the first matchup on the schedule features the Buffalo Bills vs. Washington Redskins. These two teams enter the game at 2-0, yet to lose in the preseason as they try out various personnel for final roster cuts. Today's first game of the NFL live streaming preseason games will be shown on NFL Network for TV coverage, and also online for those with a special subscription service.
The SB Nation site reported Aug. 24 that today's game will be shown on Washington affiliate station WRC-TV 4, and Buffalo affiliates WKBW or WHAM in Rochester. Sirius XM Radio will have the audio coverage for those with the service, as will ESPN 980 AM or WWXX 94.3 FM for the Redskins. WGR 550 AM is the station to listen to for coverage of the Bills side of the game.
Heading into this matchup, the Redskins have defeated the Titans 22-21 in week 1 of the preseason, and then the Steelers just last week 24-13. Rex Grossman has been the team's top passer in both games, with Robert Griffin III still recovering from his knee injury. With backup Kirk Cousins leaving the Pittsburgh game in the second quarter due to a sprained right foot, the Skins were fortunate to have former Bears QB Grossman available.
Pat White is also available at QB, so Washington will likely audition both guys today to see who might start in their first game of the regular season, if neither Cousins, nor RG3 are available. Griffin has reportedly said he wants to be back for the season opener against the Eagles, but needs the OK from his doctor.
For the Bills, they have defeated the Colts 44-20 at Indianapolis in week 1 and then the Minnesota Vikings just last week, 20-16 at Buffalo. Two different QB's have led the team in passing yards in their two victories, with Jeff Tuel throwing for 212 in week 1 and Kevin Kolb for 111 in week 2. Their rookie pick, quarterback EJ Manuel of Florida State, has been unavailable due to knee surgery, so Kolb will be trying to secure the starting job. Look for him to get a good deal of playing time today.
Bills receiver Marcus Easley has turned in top receiving performances in both games, so he could be one to watch as the season begins. Easley played in just 3 games last season and zero in 2011, so this may be his year to start contributing.
Today's Bills vs. Redskins game has a start time of 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time from Fed Ex Field in Maryland. The NFL Network will broadcast this game on cable or satellite providers around the country. The game is also available live streaming online thanks to the NFL Preseason Live subscription service. When purchased, the service allows viewers to see any of the available NFL preseason games live streaming online. The service currently extends until Sept. 15, which is early into the regular season. See more details here about how to watch online.
