NFL power rankings Week 8 news has the Seattle Seahawks as the top team in the league. These 2013 NFL power rankings are from people at The Associated Press, with 12 football writers weighing in on a weekly basis to rank all 32 teams. According to a report from Wednesday (Oct. 23), the voters went with the Seahawks as the No. 1 team in Week 8.
Despite having a loss to the Indianapolis Colts this season, the Seahawks were given the top spot over the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. Of the 12 voters, seven put Seattle first, four put Kansas City first, and one even put Indianapolis first. The Colts came in fifth overall in the poll with a 5-2 record, moving up from the No. 7 spot the team held in Week 7. Finishing out the top five are the Denver Broncos at No. 3 and the New Orleans Saints at No. 4.
The rest of the top 10 includes the San Francisco 49ers at No. 6, the Green Bay Packers at No. 7, the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 8, the New England Patriots at No. 9, and the Dallas Cowboys at No. 10. The 4-3 Cowboys jumped up to that spot from a No. 13 ranking the week before.
At the opposite end of the Week 8 NFL power rankings, the Jacksonville Jaguars are once against the last ranked team. They are classified as being just worse than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings by the AP voters.
