The San Francisco 49ers' enjoyed a dream night with Colin Kaepernick at the helm as the former Nevada star enjoyed a record setting performance in a 31-45 homes victory over the Green Bay Packers on Jan. 12, 2013. Kaepernick's victory sees the 49ers now set for the NFC Championship game where they will face either the Atlanta Falcons or the Seattle Seahawks.
Kaepernick took over for Alex Smith part way through the season and has never looked back. Despite dealing with controversy over his body art and other elements of his past the 25-year-old took the 49ers' into the playoffs with a season he will not soon forget.
The dream of leading the club back to the Super Bowl is now only a win away, and Kaepernick will be ready to use all of his talents when the time comes. After setting an NFL record for rushing with 181 yards breaking the previous record of 173 yards set by Michael Vick.
Additionally Kaepernick threw for 263 yards, two touchdowns and an interception going 17-31 with a rating of 91.2 as he led the 49ers' to yet another outstanding victory on their road to and through the post season.
