The 2014 NFL playoff divisional schedule concludes later on this afternoon when the surging San Diego Chargers look to knock off the No. 1 seeded Denver Broncos in the Mile High City.

The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are already waiting in the wings for today's winners as the build-up towards Championship Sunday is already underway.

According to a Sportsline report on Jan. 12, just like the 49ers before them, the Broncos have a bit of revenge on their minds when they suit up today at Mile High.

Denver had outscored opponents by a whopping average of 20.4 points in winning its first seven home games, that is before they were shocked by San Diego back on Dec. 12. The Chargers won that night 27-20 and it was the first time all season that the Broncos were out played on both sides of the ball.

It won't be that easy today for the Bolts and they know it, but they believe they can get the job done.

"It's tough to say you're confident knowing what you're going against. You don't want to take that the wrong way," Chargers Pro Bowl safety Eric Weddle said. "Do we believe we can win (again)? Yes. Do we know what a tough challenge it is and how great we have to play? Yeah. It's not just because it's happened in the past it's going to happen. You still have to play at a high level and do the things necessary as a team to win."

"We have been the underdog all year. We are out to continue to believe in ourselves."

Manning and the Broncos have set all kinds of records this season, but none of that matters as the real season begins today. Denver knows that Philip Rivers is playing well right now, but last week Rivers and the Chargers were aided by several Cincinnati turnovers and penalties.

As of this morning, Las Vegas odds makers have Denver as an 8 point favorite today with the over/under number set at 55.

The Broncos have been good as gold all season, especially at the Vegas window. The team you saw last time vs San Diego is long gone. Denver will be ready for the task at hand.

Pick: Broncos -8

The game gets underway today at 4:40 p.m. EST and can be watched nationally on CBS.
