The NFL playoff schedule 2013 begins on Saturday, Jan. 5 with huge wild card matchups in the AFC and NFC. First up on the slate will be the Bengals vs. Texans with live streaming online and televised coverage available.
Today's Bengals vs. Texans live game features two teams in search of the next round. A Yahoo! Sports report on Jan. 4 talks about one matchup to watch for this game with Texans Defensive End J.J. Watt vs. the Bengals offensive line. Watt has racked up impressive stats this season including 81 tackles, 20 1/2 sacks, 39 tackles for a loss, 42 quart back hits and two fumble recoveries. Watt was instrumental last season in this same exact playoff matchup, as he had an interception return for a touchdown and a sack to help in the 31-10 victory. With the Bengals seeming to lack the offensive weapons of other stronger playoff teams, Watt may be a force to be reckoned with on Saturday afternoon.
The Houston Texans enter the game with an overall record of 12-4 with a 6-2 mark at home. The Bengals are 10-6, but have a 6-2 record on the road, making it a somewhat compelling matchup. The Texans come into the game losers of 3 of their last 4, while the Bengals won their last 3 games including an exciting 23-17 victory over Pittsburgh to help them into the playoffs. Today's AFC wild card teams never met in the 2012-13 NFL regular season, so it could be a totally different ball game on Saturday afternoon, although the odds favor Houston.
Fans will be able to enjoy the Bengals vs. Texans live streaming online via the SNF All Access website. Game time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. EST, with local NBC affiliate WSLS 10 showing the game on television in Roanoke.
