The Eagles have taken control of the NFC East thanks to a win in the snow over Detroit and Chicago's rout of the Cowboys on Monday Night. The Giants lost at San Diego, which officially takes them out of the playoff picture if that wasn't the case already.
The NFC North is even more muddled after Week 14. Chicago surprised Dallas, Green Bay escaped with a win over Atlanta and the Lions lost at Philadelphia. It's now more likely that Aaron Rodgers will be brought back before the end of the season with the Packers managing to stay in the race.
New Orleans took control of the NFC South with a home win over the Carolina Panthers. The Saints also remain the favorite for the No. 2 seed, which would give them a first-round bye.
The Seahawks came up short against the 49ers but remain in control of their own destiny. It still looks like the Seahawks will end up as the top seed in the NFC. Meanwhile, the win for San Francisco puts them closer to a wild card berth. Arizona kept its playoff hopes alive by rolling past the Rams, who saw their dreams of postseason play vanish in Week 14.
New England rallied back for a near-miracle victory over Cleveland, keeping them right in the mix for a first-round bye. Miami surprised Pittsburgh, catching a break on the final play of the game to come away with a win. Given the remaining schedules, Miami is now probably the favorite to get the final wild card spot. The Jets remain in the playoff picture thanks to a win over Oakland.
The Bengals suddenly appear to be a threat for a first-round bye after beating the Colts. They also maintain a two-game lead in the division and can clinch the AFC North this week with a win and a Baltimore loss. Speaking of Baltimore, the Ravens won their third straight to hold onto the sixth seed in the AFC. However, despite a tiebreaker over Miami, a tough remaining schedule seems to give the Dolphins the advantage for that wild card spot. Pittsburgh to the Dolphins, pretty much ending their playoff hopes.
The Colts lost to the Bengals, surrending 42 points to a team that has trouble scoring, yet still clinched the AFC South thanks to Tennessee's loss at Denver. What a great league! Tennessee's playoff hopes are just about gone after blowing an 11-point lead.
The Broncos still look to be the top seed in the AFC for the second straight year thanks to the arm of Peyton Manning. Kansas City embarrassed the Redskins and essentially locked up the top wild card spot. San Diego kept its slim playoff hopes alive by beating the Giants.
