NFL players attend Drew Brees Passing Academy at ESPN Wide World of Sports

On April 8, Disney Sports released the names of NFL players who will participate in the Drew Brees Passing Academy this summer. NFL superstars Larry Fitzgerald, Darrelle Revis, Darren Sproles will join the Saints’ quarterback for the event, a passing camp and a 7-on-7 tournament for high-school football teams held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex located at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Drew Brees Passing Academy offers a football camp and 7-on-7 competitions between high-school teams from across the country. Drew Brees Passing Academy takes place June 26-28 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Fitzgerald (Cardinals WR), Revis (Patriots DB) and Sproles (Eagles RB), along with Brees and other NFL professionals, will work with the football camp participants. The NFL players will work with participants who play in their respective positions.

The three-day Brees camp includes a first day focused on position instruction led by NFL players, individual team instruction with input from the pros, All-Star position competitions Day one also includes a ProTalk and Q&A with Brees, Fitzgerald, Revis, Sproles and other NFL personnel.

Days two and three of the camp are focused on 7-on-7 games, with a guaranteed eight 7-on-7 games for all participating teams. An Awards ceremony will take place at the end of the third day of camp.

The football camp is open to only 24 high school football teams, with 15-20 players per team. In 2014, the entry fee for the Passing Academy is $1,500 per team. The winning team receives a donation to its high school. In addition, the entry fee to the 2015 Drew Brees Passing Academy will be waived for the winning team.

ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex is where several NFL player, including Falcons WR Devin Hester, Jets WR Santonio Holmes and Steelers CB Ike Taylor, work throughout the year with trainer Tom Shaw.
