NFL legend Bubba Paris charged with failing to file taxes

According to SI.com on Feb. 12, San Francisco 49ers legendary offensive linemen Bubba Paris, charged with failing to file his income taxes from 2006-2008, owes for over $183,000 in income. He is one of a growing list of celebs and athletes to face the wrath of the IRS.

Paris received $57,000 in 2006, $84,000 in 2007, and $42,000 in 2006, and never filed taxes in any of those years. The crime is a misdemeanor. The 52-year-old joins names like Lindsay Lohan, Nic Cage and Britney Spears as individuals who the IRS hit with tax charges recently.

The San Francisco 49ers drafted Paris in 1982 with their second round draft pick and he played for them until 1990. Over his years in San Francisco, he won three Super Bowl titles. After leaving the 49ers, he finished his career with stints for the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.

Paris has served as a motivational speaker of the years, traveling the United States. His two daughters, Ashley and Courtney Paris played women's college basketball for the Oklahoma Sooners and currently play in the WNBA.
