The Indianapolis Colts have added a new player to their line-up. On March 6, the owner of the Colts, Jim Irsay, revealed on his Twitter that D'Qwell Jackson was the newest Colts player. The official Colts Twitter account also welcomed Jackson to the team. Jackson comes was released from the Cleveland Browns last month. He now has a deal for four years and 22 million with the Colts, according to ESPN. He is guaranteed 11 million.

The linebacker was a star with the Browns. He led the team in tackles during the 2013 season with 139. This move will reunite Jackson with his former Browns coach. He played under Rob Chudzinski. Ryan Grigson said the following about the contract sign today:

[Jackson] is a team-first guy that has been a very consistent producer on the field. The tempo, energy and determination he plays with are right up there with the best in this league. He brings a welcomed element of experience and natural leadership to our team, and we are excited to add him to the strong nucleus of linebackers we currently have on our roster.

Jackson has played for eight seasons, and during those eight seasons he has started 96 times. He dealt with chest injuries early in his career, but he recovered from his injuries. Since then, he has become an important part of the Browns defense.

Will he be a strong factor in the Colts defense in 2014? What do you think?
