NFL Handicapper Free Pick Betting Previews Eagles-Patriots, Titans-Saints, More

Thanks to winning picks from best football handicappers, it has been quite rough on the bookmakers as Joe Duffy’s Picks is 7-2 last nine NFL preseason picks with Vegas insider odds intel like this:

Eagles-Patriots (-3) 46.5

This is as high of an over/under as will be posted in NFL preseason. Many gamblers love QB battles in handicapping NFLX and Philadelphia does not supply much. Philly is set at starting QB and backup with Nick Foles and March Sanchez, but Matt Barkley and G.J. Kinne are in a fight for No. 3. Against the Bears, Kinne hit 8 of 10 for 88 yards and a 103.3 QB rating.

Pats WR Aaron Dobson who had 37 receptions last year returned to practice but is doubtful. DL first round pick Dominique Easley is also not expected to play.

Backup New England Patriots quarterback Ryan Mallett, who missed two practices earlier this week and has been limited in two others is probable. He was a major disappointment in the opening game and needs to redeem himself tonight.

Titans-Saints (-3.5) 43

The Titans offensive starters are expected to play into the second quarter. Saints star QB Drew Brees is doubtful as Saints are being cautious with him. CB Champ Bailey has a similar status.

Second-year quarterback Ryan Griffin has looked great so far, giving him the early edge over veteran Luke McCown in the clash to be the Saints No. 2 signal caller. Titans linebacker Colin McCarthy who had 53 tackles last year is out.

Lions-Raiders (-2.5 -120) 39.5

With Dan Orlovsky and Kellen Moore backing up Matt Stafford, the Lions have plenty of questions at backup QB as neither has looked consistent. The secondary is still questionable. The Lions are set with their starters here, but the depth is still up in the air at both cornerback and safety.

DE Ezekiel (Ziggy) Ansah is out for Lions. Ansah was the fifth overall pick in last year’s NFL draft. He played in 14 games as a rookie, starting 12, and finished with a rookie-best eight sacks. He was projected to start this year.

Raiders added many vets in offseason: Justin Tuck, Maurice Jones-Drew and LaMarr Woodley. WR has been terrible in camp and opening game. Mychal Rivera is only healthy Raiders TE so suffice to say they have no depth there.

Chargers-Seahawks (-6) 38.5

These two squads play next month in Game 2. The prevailing sports picks belief is it will make them very vanilla. Intangibles handicappers note that this is first home game for Seattle since winning Super Bowl. Some bettors believe that Seattle will have a louder than usual home field edge.

Expect San Diego starters to play about a quarter. Seattle has one of the deepest rosters in the NFL. Last season, 23 players released by the Seahawks were signed to other team’s active rosters. Many experts have told that they are just as deep this season.

Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch is questionable to probable. HC Pete Carroll also added that “you’ll see a little bit more out of” wide receiver Percy Harvin. Often injured Russell Okung is doubtful. Seattle is very improved at WR.

Expert picks: Star sports handicapper Joe Duffy says: I have not been a force in this business by making promises I cannot keep. Off a very rare rough performance, you knew it would be a bad day to be a bookmaker. We sweep Wise Guy plays with the LA Dodgers +114 and of course our Thursday Night NFL Preseason Game of the Year on Jacksonville to make it 7-2 with NFL preseason plays.
