Weber State wide receiver set many records at the Ogden school, but
he'll now be in the history books forever as the Detroit Lions selected
him with the final pick in the 2010 NFL draft on April 24.

You might think Weber State wide receiver Tim Toone looks like he’s a long way from California with his tanned body and dreadlocks, but the Peoria, Arizona native is actually one of the most accomplished players in Big Sky Conference history.
His numbers, which speak for themselves, are a big reason why the Detroit Lions took a chance on a 5-foot-10, 175 pound returned LDS Church missionary who played considerable minutes during all four years of his Wildcat career.
In a draft that saw many teams choose players with character as opposed to risk, Toone may look like Bob Marley, but he’s anything but. In both his junior and senior seasons, Toone was named both first-team All-Conference and All-America, as well as being a three-time Academic All-America majoring in Athletic Training (Therapy) at Weber State.
Sometimes you can’t judge a book by its cover, but in the case of Toone it especially applies.
Toone will likely play on special teams for the Lions if he is fortunate enough to make the team. He was the leader in punt returns in all of FCS last season, with two touchdowns to his credit.
As Weber’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and receptions for touchdowns Toone leaves Ogden with a legacy that will be hard to match.
Toone is also the second Weber State player to receive the “Mr. Irrevelant” distinction, as former tight end Cam Quayle was selected with the final pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 1998.

Good question. I'll check into that. I don't think any Utahns have.

"In a draft that saw many teams choose players with character as opposed to risk, Toone may look like Bob Marley, but hes anything but."
What the hell is that supposed to mean?
"Sometimes you cant judge a book by its cover, but in the case of Toone it especially applies."
Why? Again, what the hell is that supposed to mean?

Hey Confused, read between the lines. I know you have eyes.
Toone is not your everyday NFL prototype; he is small (5-foot-10 and 175 lbs) and he is unlike most players at that size. Perhaps I should spell it out for you.
is your problem, Confused? Do you have OCD? Three posts?
