It is somewhat hard to rank the Dallas Cowboys' needs. They have several areas that are concerning, but some of that is not immediate. They could use a new starter at LT given the release of Flozell Adams, and that seems to be the area of most concern.
The Cowboys could also use another fresh face at safety to begin grooming to be the one day starter there. They have some decent depth here, but it really seems like this position could use a big infusion of talent.
QB Tony Romo could also use another big time weapon at the wide out position. Sure Miles Austin is awesome, and Kevin Ogletree is promising, but Roy Williams has been a complete disaster, and adding another skilled player here would be sound strategy.
That would seem to cover the primary needs of the Cowboys, so we shall move onto the secondary needs. Marcus Spears signed a one year tender and it may be time to add a DE to the mix to take over his spot one day. Quality 3-4 ends are not the easiest of things to find so getting a prospect in the 2010 draft and letting him grow into something special would be a sound investment.
This team could also use some youth at their two ILB positions. The plan is for Jason Williams to get a shot at Keith Brookings job one day, but Bradie James has been taking a pounding and 2010 will be his eighth season. The Cowboys roster currently does not have a viable option to replace James if needed; adding a youngster there would fill that need.
