NFL Combine invites eleven former LSU Tigers

The LSU football program announced earlier this week (2-7-14) that eleven LSU football players have been invited to the 2014 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, In. this year.

The NFL Combine hosts up to 300 college football players each year with hopes of being drafted by the NFL. The 2014 NFL Combine will be held on February 22-25, 2014. The players are put through drills and workouts equivalent to those used in the NFL, 40-yard dash, 225-pound bench press, shuttle run, 3-cone drill, vertical jump and broad jump, tests and interviews with all of the NFL team scouts, recruiters and/or coaches.

LSU Tigers invited to the Combine this year are Zach Mettenberger, QB; Jeremy Hill, RB; Alfred Blue, RB; Odell Beckham, Jr., WR; Jarvis Landry, WR; J.C. Copelane, FB; Trai Turner, OG; Ego Ferguson, DT; Anthony Johnson, DT, Lamin Barrow, LB; and Craig Loston, S.

The NFL Combine will be broadcasted live via the NFL Network and also streamed live on the internet at NFL.com/combine.

After the Combine is over, the former LSU Tigers will return to LSU to prepare for Pro Day at LSU which will be held in April. The NFL Draft will be held on May 8-10th this year.
