An NFL cheerleader was charged with the rape of a minor after she allegedly touched a 12-year-old boy inappropriately, TMZ reports March 21. Elizabeth Garner, who cheered for the Tennessee Titans until 2009, reportedly touched the young boy's penis outside of his pants and attempted to perform oral sex on him.
The incident in question occurred last month when the boy's mother was hosting a party. When he went to the bathroom, the former cheerleader apparently followed him there. According to the report, Garner then grabbed the boy's penis outside of his shorts then tried removing them so she could perform oral sex on him. He wound up escaping the scene and told his mother about the encounter. She called police and law enforcement reveal that Garner asked the boy if he'd ever been with a woman.
Police say Garner admitted she followed the 12-year-old, but that she was drunk and had confused him with an adult male.
The NFL cheerleader charged with rape of a minor was booked on $30,000 and faces eight years in prison if she's convicted.
This is a shocking story to surface in the media today. First of all, how would Elizabeth Garner -- or any woman, for that matter -- confuse a 12-year-old by with a grown man? How could that type of defense hold up in court? At least she doesn't deny following the boy and doing something she definitely shouldn't have.
