Fears of rowdiness prompted Seattle Seahawks management to institute an interesting security detail at the NFL Sunday night game between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers: there were undercover cops dressed in 49ers jerseys at the game between divisional rivals San Fran and Seattle. It's not clear why the enemy jerseys are necessary for the security detail. Maybe they also wore the super fan makeup and paraphernalia of the 49ers too. Check out the attached video that tells about the curious security gang in Seattle.
Seattle Seahawks v. San Francisco 49ers...Sunday September 15, 2013
The game went on tonight with an hour (exactly an hour) delay in the first quarter due to lightning being present in the area. When the game resumed the defenses, who were one and two last year, still were pummeling each other. There were few long passes completed and just a few pass and run plays for extended yardage.
San Fran ran up 494 yards against Green Bay in week one, but Seattle held the 49ers down with a swarming defensive presence on 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick who set a Super Bowl rushing record last February. Seattle looks the equal of the 2012-13 NFC champions.
