NFC playoff brackets for 2013 could create some very interesting match-ups. Within the current 2013 NFC playoff brackets is the possibility of a Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers game in the second round. In the updated standings from Tuesday morning (Dec. 17), Seattle would have the No. 1 seed and San Francisco would have the No. 6 seed, creating a way for the two NFC West teams to avoid each other in the first round.

AFC Postseason Outlook

As for how the first round would look, the two games would be the Philadelphia Eagles vs. San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Bears vs. Carolina Panthers. Winning the East would allow the Eagles to host the first game and the Bears would host the second game by winning the North. Those would certainly be very interesting games in the first round, with both winners possibly dreading what could await in the second round.

In the second round of the 2013 NFC playoff brackets, Seattle would host the worst remaining seed in the postseason. That game would take place at CenturyLink Field, creating a distinct advantage for the Seahawks. The other side would have the New Orleans Saints hosting a game down in Louisiana. That's exactly what Drew Brees would love to see, with the team going up against the best remaining seed. This could lead to Seattle vs. San Francisco and New Orleans vs. Carolina to decide the title game match-up.

As reported on Examiner previously, there are a number of scenarios that could change the way it all looks for the postseason. With two weeks left in the regular season, a lot of changes are definitely possible in the seeding as well as which teams could host those first round games.
