Neyo, Monica and Miguel recently brought R&B music to the Nokia Theatre in a full show packed with fans of the three singing artists.
Miguel, who has recently was toured with Mary J. Blige and Usher, opened the show with a twenty minute set which included hits from his cd "All I Want Is You" and "Sure Thing".
Monica performed an entertaining hour set which included her hits which included "Angel Of Mine", "The First Night", "Don't Take It Personal". Monica embraced the crowd with rich and sharp vocals, thanked the crowd for welcoming her to making L.A her home now. Back by a 4 piece band and three background singers and 2 back up male dancers, Monica had three wardrobe changes during her set, in which her three background singers each had a moment to show their vocal ability. The omission from her set was her hit song with Brandy "The Boy Is Mine".
Neyo dressed in a suit and backed by a 4 piece band and 8 back up females dancers, quickly started singing his hits "Mad" and " So Sick" during his headlining 90 minute set. Neyo had a stage built with a riser on stage all drapped in red. In support of his current album "Libra Scale" the singer performed songs from the new released which included "Beautiful Monster". The crowd appeared to love the concert singing and dancing. The biggest response were to songs from his third album "Year Of The Gentlemen" which included hit songs " Miss Independent" and the encore song of "Closer".
The evening provided a great night of entertainment at the Nokia Theatre.
