Next week, 'The Lion King' begins its run at the Kennedy Center

Blockbuster animated movie-turned-musical Disney's The Lion King will begin performance on June 17th at the Kennedy Center's Opera House theater.

This is not the first time the hit musical has performed in the Kennedy Center. Back in June of 2008, the show ran for nine weeks.

This time around, the musical will begin a more limited engagement and will end on August 17th.

In addition to regular ticket pricing, the Kennedy Center will offer a special VIP Package for theatergoers.
