While some of Aviva Drescher's co-stars want her out of "The Real Housewives of New York City," she herself wants to stay and even bring on a soon-to-be family member. In an interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, posted on Friday, May 30, Aviva said that Cody, her father George's fiance, would be perfect as a housewife.
The latest episode showed George introducing his much younger, African-American girlfriend, Cody, to Aviva and her family. They soon found out that George was very serious about Cody. He gave her an engagement ring and asked her to marry him. She said yes.
While it's reasonable to assume that Aviva doesn't approve of the union and thinks that Cody is just a gold digger, since she's so young and beautiful and George isn't much of a looker and has some questionable sexual behavior, it seems that Aviva has no problems with it. She said that they recently stayed at her apartment before embarking on a trip to Europe, showing that they're still very much together. She said that even her children love her new future stepmother. What Aviva's husband, Reid, thinks of the relationship is anyone's guess.
When asked who she would like see join season seven of "The Real Housewives of New York City," Aviva even nominated Cody! She said that she would love to see Cody join the cast because she would be really interesting.
However, if some of the other cast members have their way, Aviva Drescher won't even be in season seven, much less her future stepmother. Both Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson have publicly said that they want Aviva replaced, preferably with LuAnn de Lesseps, who they want see back as a starring housewife rather than a friend of the housewives. When it comes to the show, it seems that Aviva better start making sure that her own position is secure before even thinking about bringing on others.
